Switching

Switch from StoryGraph to Spinefolk

Export your StoryGraph library and import it into Spinefolk in a few minutes, keeping your statuses, ratings and read dates.

Moving from StoryGraph takes a few minutes, and your StoryGraph account stays untouched.

1Export your library from StoryGraph

  1. Sign in to the StoryGraph website.
  2. Open Manage Account, then Manage Your Data.
  3. Choose Export StoryGraph Library.
  4. Save the CSV file when it is ready.

2Import it into Spinefolk

  1. Create your free Spinefolk account (or sign in).
  2. Open Settings, then Library, then Import from Goodreads or StoryGraph.
  3. Choose the CSV file.
  4. Look over the preview and confirm. You can undo the import afterwards if you change your mind.

What comes across

  • Reading statuses (read, currently reading, to-read, did not finish)
  • Ratings and reviews
  • Read dates

What does not

StoryGraph's mood and pace tags are specific to StoryGraph, so they are not part of the export. Spinefolk is adding its own moods, pace and content warnings, which you will be able to add to books as you read.

After you import

Spinefolk is built around the books you own. Scan the physical books you have to file them by location, and use the buy list for the ones you still want.
