Terms of Service
Last updated October 1, 2026
Welcome
These terms are an agreement between you and SpineFolk LLC (“we”) about your use of Spinefolk. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Who can use Spinefolk
You must be at least 13 years old. You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your password secret. Give us accurate information, and don’t share your account.
Your content
You own what you write: reviews, comments, posts, notes, and your profile. By posting it, you give us permission to store and show it to the people you’ve chosen to share it with, as the app is designed to do. Please only post things you have the right to share.
Book details, author information, and cover images come from Open Library, Google Books, Hardcover, Apple Books, and other sources. We don’t own them, and they may not match your exact edition.
Be kind and keep it legal
Don’t harass, threaten, or bully anyone. No hate speech, sexual content involving minors, graphic violence, or content that promotes self-harm. No spam, scams, or impersonating other people. Don’t post anything illegal, share other people’s private information, or try to break or misuse the service.
Disagreeing about a book is fine. Attacking a person isn’t.
Reporting and enforcement
You can report a review, comment, post, profile, or group from the menu next to it, and block any reader. We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or end accounts that break these rules or put others at risk. We may do so without notice for serious violations.
Free service and changes
Spinefolk is free today. We may add paid features in the future, and we’ll tell you in the app before you’re asked to pay for anything. We may change, add, or remove features over time.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may stop providing the service, or end your access, if you break these terms or if we have to by law.
No guarantees
Spinefolk is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free, and we aren’t responsible for the accuracy of book information or other readers’ content. Reminders are a convenience and may not always arrive on time. Keep your own copy of anything important: you can download your data in Settings.
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the last 12 months.
Changes, law, and contact
We may update these terms. If the changes are meaningful, we’ll tell you in the app, and continuing to use Spinefolk means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA.
